Just a note to say what a fantastic time I had on the course on Prodigal Daughter. I felt completely spoilt being on a brand new boat with all mod cons - electric kettle, electric toaster and a hoover - not what I am used to at all! The boats are really lovely with loads of space and are really well equipped both above and below decks. Tom was absolutely marvellous and shared his knowledge so freely and with so much patience - when I was alternating between blonde and senior moments I am sure he must have been at his wits' end from time to time! It's a good job he's got a sense of humour - an essential quality I would think in an instructor's job. I thought it was really funny that on the Saturday night when he was referring to "clients" that that was the first time I realised I WAS a client it had never occurred to me before - he was just my skipper and if he had told me to jump overboard I would have done!Susan
A couple of lines to say how much I appreciated my recent two week sailing course (competent crew/day skipper). Alan proved to be an excellent teacher/motivator/sailor. I think all of us really appreciated his leadership talents, his teaching abilities and his sense of humour.

I'd like to take you up on your offer of training over the winter to do my day skipper theory. If you can let me know when it's possible I'll start making arrangements. Also we have made sure we can take time to come down to crew on the two new yachts as per our discussion. If the offer is still there then please let us know dates etc and we'll get flights sorted etc.

I thoroughly enjoyed the course sailing with good company in varied and interesting waters and have some nice photos to prove it. I feel more confident now and will enjoy crewing far more, especially 2 weeks in July round the Tuscan Islands. I will happily recommend your courses to anyone. Portugal is such a delightful country.

Just to say thank you... first for helping me out on the disastrous day of Sun April 13th - what a drama!!!!! They had cancelled my flights home on the 20th as a result.... But most of all for the fantastic time I had on board with Alan as intructor. It was a very steep learning curve, but I was expecting that and loved every minute. The highlight of my week was the night sail - I thought it was great and really appreciated Alan's efforts as the conditions weren't exactly ideal.
So, thanks to both of you, I can't wait to go sailing again.

Just a note to say sorry for not contacting you sooner but after a years absence we have just returned to the twentyfirst century, we're back on e-mail.
The course/holiday was superb, resulting in Lesley obtaining competent crew and myself costal skipper. The company, the sailing and the overnight visits just great. Thankyou and many thanks to instructor Alan.
We've joined the cruising club in Vilamoura. we allready knew quite a few of the members there, and have had a number of good few hours sailing since April.
If you ever have a short time to share a meal or glass or two with us in Vilamoura just phone, we're here till November.
